VANCOUVER – A Prince George man is celebrating a major lottery win.  55-year-old Mike Jansen won the January 29th Daily Grand.

“When I told my wife that I had won the lottery, she didn’t believe me,” said Jansen. “Together, we must have checked the ticket a dozen times.”

Jansen matched 5 out of 5 numbers, including the one ‘Grand Number.’  Once he had won, he had to choose his prize of $1,000-a-day for the rest of his life or a lump-sum payout of $7 million.  He said the decision to take the lump sum was easy because it allows him to start enjoying his lottery win immediately.

The winning ticket was purchased at Save-On-Foods at the Parkwood Place.
