PRINCE GEORGE — A ribbon-cutting took place today in front of a new home being built in the Aberdeen Glen area of the city. The 3,084 square foot rancher-style house is being built by Copper Falls Custom Home Builders. Copper Falls and the 33 sub-contractors working on the house have agreed to donate the net proceeds from the sale of the house to the Spirit of the North Health Care Foundation to put towards healthcare equipment at University Hospital.

“Healthcare does touch everyone, from the minute you’re born,” says Judy Neiser, CEO of the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation. “We are all going to be afflicted by something, whether it’s accident, trauma or disease. And if you know that, you can honestly look after yourself better, live the best quality of life you possibly can.”

She says she is constantly moved by the sort of generosity seen by the community.

The Foundation works on behalf of donors to support the purchase of equipment, education and enhancements to health care delivery at University Hospital of Northern BC.
