Hart Ski Hill Gearing Up

PRINCE GEORGE – The season is about to get underway for the Hart Highlands Winter Club, with snow-making underway tonight. With some help from Mother Nature, those who run the ski hill will have it open this weekend, “fingers crossed.”

But they are already looking to next summer.

“We’re looking to get a smaller gun for us to use, so we can get into some of the tighter areas,” explains Jess Hudson, the Club’s Manager.

Last year, the Club has one snow-making gun and it meant the hill stayed open for 100 days.

The club recently went to Council for support to seek $15,000 in funds from the Northern Development Initiatives Trust. The cost of the smaller gun is about $45,000.
