The Spruce Kings welcomed back an important defender this week in Layton Ahac. The 17-year old North Vancouver boy has returned from this year’s World Junior A Challenge with a bronze medal after recording two assists in the final game, rounding out an experience he won’t soon forget.  The experience marked Ahac’s first international competition, but probably not his last. More exciting news for the Junior A Challenge Bronze Medalist came out today too. Ahac will be one of 11 BCHL players on Team West at this year’s Canadian Junior Hockey League Prospects game. They’ll play the East on January 22nd in Okotoks, Alberta.
