DAWSON CREEK — The Dawson Creek RCMP says a death it reported earlier this month is no longer considered suspicious.

It relates to an incident on December 8 when police said a man was found lying in the parking lot of Pouce Pub. After he was taken to hospital he was pronounced dead.

“Through investigation and evidence obtained at the autopsy, the suspicious death reported to the RCMP on December 8 is now a BC Coroners Case,” says North District RCMP Cpl. Madonna Saunderson. “Although the cause of death will not be released by the RCMP, there is no evidence of foul play.”

She adds police would like to thank the public for their assistance in this investigation.
