Overdose Deaths Continue To Climb

PRINCE GEORGE — BC’s opioid crisis continues to worsen.

New numbers from the BC Coroners Service reveal there were 120 suspected drug overdose deaths last month. That’s a 13 per cent increase from November 2017 and a nine per cent hike from October 2018.

More people continue to die in Prince George as well – 38 through November this year compared to 24 in all of 2017.

In total, 1,380 people have died from illicit overdose deaths so far this year. 1,381 lost their lives in all of 2017.
