Missing Kitimat Youth Located

KITIMAT — Update: Police say the missing girl has been located and is safe.

Earlier: RCMP are asking the public's help in finding a missing youth in Kitimat. Aaliyah Tait-Ross, 13, was last seen Wednesday at 9:30 pm with friend, Joni Dean. Police say Dean is a person of interest.

Tait-Ross is described as an Indigenous girl, slim build, her hair is now blonde hair with pink streaks, 5 ft tall, 100 pounds, wearing a dark hoodie, black leggings with mesh around the lower calves and running shoes.

Mounties say there is a concern for her well-being, but she could be avoiding police.

Anyone with information on Tait-Ross' whereabouts is asked to contact Kitimat RCMP at 250-632-7111 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
