Cougars Light Lamps With Goal-Filled Weekend Highlights

Lent came a little early for the Cougars this year, as they spent 40 days of their hockey season without a home game. Things changed this weekend as they were finally back in town, hosting the Kelowna Rockets. It was their seventh and eighth meetings against the Kelowna boys this season, with pretty good results thus far, none as good as what was coming to them Friday and Saturday night though.  After the goalie’s performance, the Western Hockey League announced today that Guathier, the 2019 NHL Draft prospect has been named the WHL Eli Wilson Goaltending Goaltender of the Week and league nominee for the Vaughn CHL Goaltender of the Week. That comes after 3 wins and 2 shutouts through the four games this week.
