Jail sentence for two men in relation to 2016 investigation

CHETWYND – On January 10th, a jail sentence was handed down to two individuals in relation to a 2016 attempted murder and kidnapping investigation. 

Chetwynd resident, Brandon MacDonald, 32, pleaded guilty to attempted murder with a firearm, kidnapping and uttering threats. He was sentenced to just under eight years with a lifetime firearm prohibition. 

P.E.I. resident, Robert Clarke, 34, pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and was sentenced to 1.5 years in jail with a lifetime firearm prohibition.
