PRINCE GEORGE — Bundle up if you’re heading outdoors today.

Environment Canada has issued an extreme cold warning for Prince George and its surrounding areas due to an expected period of very cold wind chills.

The national forecaster attributes the warning to a cold arctic air mass that has settled over B.C.’s Central Interior.

It says the combination of cold temperatures and winds will produce wind chills of minus 33 today and 40 overnight.
