PRINCE GEORGE - The third annual Downtown Winterfest took place this past weekend and it had a new venue this year.

The event was held at the Canada Games Plaza because of construction out in front of city hall. Despite the change in venue everyone involved enjoyed all the festivities.

There was an ice slide for the kids, snow sculptures, a smores contest and many more activities.

Even Mr. PG was on hand to give out some hugs. Event coordinator Colleen van Mook spoke about what the event hopes to bring to the community.
