Timberwolves lose game one of quarterfinals to Dinos

The UNBC Timberwolves basketball team is in Calgary taking on the #2 ranked Dinos in the TWolves first ever Canada West quarterfinals matchup. The Dinos came into play on a 15 game winning streak and they did not slow down against the Timberwolves.

The Dinos got out to an early 20-10 lead after the first quarter and did not look back. Calgary took game one of the best of three series 81-58. Calgary forced UNBC to turn the ball over 30 times and UNBC shot 27 per cent from three-point land compared to 42 per cent by the Dinos. 

Vasiliki Louka led the TWolves in scoring with 16 points and 12 rebounds while Maria Mongomo and Madison Landry chipped in with 14 and 12 points respectively.

Erin McIntosh led the Dinos in scoring with 22 points and four blocks while Bobbi Jo Colburn had 16 points and nine rebounds.
