PRINCE GEORGE- A local shelter for women and children will be hosting the coldest night of the year on Saturday, February 23rd. The event is a two, five, or 10 km walk that raises funds for the city’s most vulnerable. A national initiative supporting individuals experiencing homelessness, hunger and other barriers will be taking place on Saturday, February 23rd at the St. Giles Presbyterian Church.

The Association Advocating for Women and Community here in Prince George is hosting the coldest night of the year initiative with all proceeds going to support their various housing programs. The organization hopes this event can shed some light on the issue of people not having proper housing and the hardships that come with it.
