Kings end regular season on high note

The Kings and Chiefs were both resting some of their top scorers but that did not stop either team from wanting to end the season with a win.

The Kings got out to a very quick start scoring two goals in the first five minutes, one by Layton Ahac and the other by Dustin Manz, his 32nd of the season. Liam Watson-Brown would another goal for the Kings in the second period and it looked like the Kings were gonna head into the locker room up 3-0 but a last-second goal that went in right at the buzzer by Chilliwack’s Cade Cavallini reduced the lead to 3-1.

Dustin Manz would pot his 33rd and second goal of the game on an empty netter to seal the win for the Kings. Manz led the Kings with two goals while Corey Cunningham and Patrick Cozzi each had two assists. Keenan Rancier got the win for the Kings in net.

The Kings now prepare to face off against the Coquitlam Express in the first round of the BCHL playoffs with game one of the series going Friday, March 1st at the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena.
