PRINCE GEORGE — The Spokane Chiefs spanked the Prince George Cougars 7-1 last night to complete a two-game mid-week sweep at the CN Centre.

The Cats were undermanned due to a rash of injuries and had just 16 skaters.

Spokane took full advantage racing out to a 4-0 lead after the first period. Josh Maser scored early in the 2nd period to draw the Cougars within three but it was all Spokane after that.

The Chiefs clinched a playoff spot with the win and have now won eight-straight games against Prince George.
