She’s remembered as Canada’s top alpine skier in the 1960s, she’s also spent over nine years as a Conservative Senator, and this weekend, she was in Prince George helping the Hart Ski Hill celebrate its 50th birthday. Nancy Greene Raine, also known as Canada’s Top Female Athlete of the 20th Century, won silver and gold medals at the 1968 Olympics and back-to-back World Cup titles in 67 and 68. She is now the Director of Skiing at Sun Peaks Resort after retiring from the Senate last May. Greene Raine was happy to see the community hill getting put to good use over the weekend.
