The Cariboo Cougar teams who usually rule the ice at the Kin Centre are stepping aside this weekend in order for a huge ringette weekend to take centre stage. From Friday to Sunday, the Prince George Ringette Association is hosting the 2019 Ringette Provincials for U14-U18+ A and B level athletes. There are 39 confirmed teams from the 4 ringette leagues throughout the province on their way to Prince George, totalling 600 athletes and 145 coaches and officials. The weekend features 94 games spread out at the 3 rinks within the Kin Centre and the one at the Elkcentre. It has been 5 years since Prince George last hosted the Ringette Provincials. Gold Medal games will take place from 11am to 3pm on Sunday.
