Former Cougar pens commitment to Pens

A former Prince George Cougar and Kitimat, BC product has penned his commitment to the Pens for the next three years.  Justin Almeida is on the verge of completing his final season in the WHL with the Moose Jaw Warriors, where he’s been averaging over a point a game for the last two seasons. Almeida was drafted in the 5th round of the 2018 NHL Draft by the Pittsburgh Penguins and over the weekend, signed a three-year entry-level contract with the team. Almeida currently leads the WHL in assists and sits third in points. The Warriors centre man played a year with the Cariboo Cougars and into his second season with the WHL Cougars before being traded. The Warriors will enter the playoffs as the 3rd ranked East Division team.
