Pedestrian critically injured

PRINCE GEORGE — A woman is in hospital with critical injuries after she was struck by a vehicle yesterday (March 17).

Prince George RCMP says the collision involving a pedestrian occurred near the corner of 5th Ave and Ahbau Street just after 10:30 a.m.

Cpl. Craig Douglass says the woman was removed from under the full-size pickup and taken to hospital.

He says the 68-year-old male driver and Prince George resident remained at the scene and cooperated with police.

Douglass says alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
