The UNBC Timberwolves are continuing to build their teams for the upcoming season, today announcing the commitment of a strong shooting guard with a few connections to USports already.  Team BC guard Dylon Matthews will be joining the TWolves basketball team next season, where he’ll be playing alongside his former high school teammate Chris Ross. Matthews and Ross actually started in kindergarten together, before eventually being Seycove Secondary teammates and leading the Seyhawks to a 2018 provincial bronze medal. Matthews averaged 21 points, nine assists, and seven rebounds for the Seyhawks and has played with the provincial team for the last two years. The North-Vancouver boy has been closely watched by Timberwolves head coach Todd Jordan over the years, after his brother Triston made headlines in the CanWest, leading UBCO in scoring this season. The 6’2″ seventeen year old is set to graduate in June and plans to study sciences at UNBC.
